It is worth commenting at this stage that, although John Maynard Keynes lived to the age of 63 , his parents both outlived him. Keynes did well at Eton winning the Senior Mathematics Prize in , and again in But it was not only in mathematics that he did well; for example in he was first in mathematics, first in history, and first in the English essay.
