He was born in a Telugu -speaking Brahmin family. Krishnamurti was fond of his mother Sanjeevamma, who died when he was ten. In the family settled in Kadapa , where Krishnamurti had contracted malaria during a previous stay. He suffered recurrent bouts of the disease over many years. It wasn't cultivated.
